Bella Birthday Card

Hi all!! Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday. This weekend I decided I wanted to make cards using things that I have not used in awhile. So, out came my Cricut, Glitter cardstock, and Stampin' Bella. All things that I love but have been sort of pushed aside lately. I forgot how much I love my Stampin' Bella stamps they are so stinkin' cute.

For this card the theme is black/white with a pop of color. I used DCWV glitter cardstock, stamp from Stampin' Bella, cuttlebug embossing folder, ovals made on the cricut, Martha Stewart border punch, ribbon, glitter glue and flower embellishments. I colored the image using prismacolor watercolor pencils and added glitter glue on the present and hat. I used pop dots to adhere the image to the card for added dimension. I love how it turned out.

The Pink Elephant Challenge #36

This week the theme over at The Pink Elephant is Fall. I love Fall, it is one of my favorite seasons. I love the crisp air, the golden colors, Halloween and Thanksgiving.

For this card I used DCWV patterned paper from their Fall Stack, SU cardstock, Inkadinkado Autumn Greetings stamp set, SU chocolate chip ink, nestabilities, ribbon from my stash, stickles, and prismacolor watercolor pencils. I wanted to add a little dimension to the card so I paper pieced the pumpkin and the leaf.

Hope you are all enjoying your Fall day!!

A Spoon Full of Sugar #71

Thanks to the challenge at A Spoonfull of Sugar, I'm inspired to create christmas cards. I was going through some of my stamps this morning and I found this Poinsettia Stamp by PSX. I wanted to use non-traditional christmas colors, so I decided on pink and gold. It reminds me of a Victorian christmas. I heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder and colored it in using watercolor pencils. I used Bazzil bling and SU brushed gold cardstock,SU scallop punch, pink and lace ribbon, cuttlebug embossing folder and pearls. Thanks A Spoonfull of Sugar for inspiring me.

A Spoonfull of Sugar #71

This week's challenge at A Spoonfull of Sugar is to create something in a Christmas theme. I had just purchased a new christmas stamp so off I went to make a christmas card. I really liked the sketch from last weeks challenge (that I didn't have time to join)so I used it for this card. The sketch was a bit challenging for me, but I like how it turned out.

I used Stampin' Up cardstock, DCWV patterned paper, Inkadinkado A Visit from Santa stamp, lace ribbon, prima flowers, and rhinetones.

Hugs,

Moments Slide Mount Book

One of my goals this year was to try something different when it comes to papercrafting. I've always made scrapbook pages and cards and I thought it would be cool to expand my horizons a bit. For this mini book,I used a kit from Paper Wishes Class in a Box. It was lots of fun to make and I'm really loving the collage look.

I used assorted papers from HOTP, slide mounts, coasters, oval black frame, fibers, ribbon and assorted brads. Overall, I am pleased with how it turned out. I would definitely make another one. For my next one I think I'll use some of my favorite photos.

Hope you are all enjoying your day!

Boo to You

Hi all!! I finally found the time to get back to my blog. Can't believe my last post was in the spring. Unfortunately, didn't have much time for paper crafting in the last few months. I've started some new paper craft projects that I hope to be posting soon.

This morning as I was getting reacquainted with my craft room, I came across this adorable stamp from HouseMouse and I was inspired to make this card. I love fall and Halloween is my favorite fall holiday. For this card I used DCWV cs from the fall stack and SU, HouseMouse Pumpkins, Ghost and Mice Oh My stamp, ribbon, glitter glue, paper glaze (on the glass jars),candy apple embellishments by Jolee, cuttlebug embossing folder and sentiment stamp from the dollar bin at Michaels.

Hope you all enjoy your day!

SASSC13

Hi all! I love the challenges over at Stamps and Smiles and this week I was finally able to give one of their challenges a try. I'm trying to replenish my supply of birthday cards and this was the perfect sketch. I was going through my stash of paper and found a pad of Brenda Walton patterned paper that I had completely forgotten about. I thought it would go well with my cute little housemouse image.

For this card I used Colorbok cardstock, Brenda Walton patterned paper, HouseMouse image(rec'd in a swap), cuttlebug embossing folder, SU scallop punch, prima flowers, gems and butterfly embellishment by Sandylion. The image was colored using prismacolor watercolor pencils.

Thanks Stamps and Smiles for inspiring me.

Happy Birthday Dad!

This is the card I made for my Dad's birthday. One of Dad's favorite pasttimes is cooking out. He just loves his "grill". Now that he's retired and living in Florida he has lots of time for grilling.

I made this card with scraps I had leftover from other projects. I used SU cardstock, DCWV patterned paper, image by Stampin' Bella, cuttlebug embossing folder, ribbon and chef's hat embellishment by unknown company.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Mojo Monday #83

Not much time to craft this week, but I always like to make time to join a challenge. Mojo Monday is my favorite challenge blog, so here's my take on their sketch. I needed a birthday card, so I pulled out my cupcake stamps and got to playing.

I used SU and colorbok cardstock, DCWV patterned paper, prima flowers, ribbon, cupcake stamps and sentiment by inkadinkado, Martha Stewart border punch, gems and
3D crystal gel paint. I cut out the smaller cupcakes and used pop dots for added dimension.

Relax and Enjoy!

Work has been so chaotic lately that I didn't have anytime for myself. Finally, I was able to relax and enjoy this weekend. I was milling around in my craft room when I found this image. I had received it awhile ago from a swap I was in. I was instantly inspired to create a card. This image reminded me that no matter how chaotic things get I shouldn't forget to just relax and enjoy, even if it is only for a few minutes. I quickly went into my "scrap" box and put together this card.

I used DCWV cardstock, HOTP patterned paper, gems and ribbon. The image was colored using prismacolor watercolor pencils, and I added 3D paint crystal gel to the bubbles for some dimension. Thanks for looking and I hope that you all find the time to relax and enjoy!

The Pink Elephant Challenge #8

Just taking a little break from the housework. Shhh, don't tell anybody. Anyway I had some scraps left over from the last card I made so I decided to make an Easter card for The Pink Elephant challenge. I think the color combo lends itself well to an Easter card. For this card I used the Hoppy Easter stamp by housemouse and the sentiment stamp is one of the dollar stamps I picked up at Michael's. Well, I guess I better get back to my housework. Ugh!!
Happy Crafting,
Mickey

I hope to do a little more crafting this weekend but right now the dreaded housework is calling me. Hope you all find time to craft.
